In the early 1960s, Ron laced up for the Chicago Titans as a player-coach, igniting a lifelong affair with hockey. Post his roller hockey days, Ron founded The Hockey Locker—a premier pro shop under his banner, Real Hockey Products. His innovative marketing flair birthed "Rah Rahs," beloved sports souvenirs that enraptured young hockey fans everywhere.

By the late 1960s, Ron was rubbing shoulders with legends like Keith Magnuson, Phil Esposito, Bobby Hull, and Stan Mikita, forging alliances that would shape his legacy. His crowning achievement came in the early 1970s when he penned the first official Rule Book for Amateur Ice Hockey, a feat that secured his spot in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
